Do you love the rain?
June 28, 2009 | Filed under: Blog
It’s rainy season again and typhoons are starting to build-up here in Luzon. One thing I miss about home is we don’t experience typhoons in Davao. Though it always rain down there, but we rarely get winds and rains as strong as those in Luzon and Visayas. And most often, it rains at night. You’d be surprised to see the outside of your house wet the moment you wake up the next day.
Anyway, since it was raining these past few days, I’m wondering if you love the rain. I know several people who don’t. How about you, do you love the rain?
Waaaaaa! OT at work!

Last week was really stressful for me. I’ve been caught up in a lot of unplanned overtime works in the office. I have tried being the last to leave the office. I never valued each holiday before like the way I value it now. Stress is the ultimate enemy at work. As much as possible, I avoid getting sleepy. I’m mastering the art of Power Nap, for my own good.
New Lens for my D90

I recently bought my D90 a new lens. The 55-200mm is the newest addition to my own set of lenses. It’s my basic zoom lens. I still need to get a few more lenses to complete my basic set. Kuya Blogie was right when he said I’m engaging myself into an expensive hobby. *sigh* . Well, the important thing is, I’m enjoying what I’m doing.

My Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009
May 24, 2009 | Filed under: Contests
Yayks! It’s been a year since I last made my nominations for the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs. Last year, I chose have my list exclusive to blogs coming from Mindanao. But since last year, after living in three different cities (Davao, Cebu and Makati), I think creating an exclusive list will be unfair for my friends who deserves to be nominated for this year’s Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs.
To start the list, I nominate FlairCandy.com. I met Hannah, the candy with a flair, from Wordcamp last year. She was introduced to me by my bud Jehz. Her charisma towards other bloggers was very strong that only a few months after her first blogging event (WordCamp), almost everyone in the Pinoy blogosphere knows her already. (woot!) She’s also Nuffnang’s featured blogger for this month.
Finally bought the new toy

I’ve been planning of getting a Digital SLR since last year. It was only a couple of months ago when I started saving some money for a new camera. I really wanted to get a mid-range camera. There are a lot of decent cameras available in the market today, yet, it was the Nikon’s mid-range DSLR, after consulting my friends who are into photography, who caught my attention. It was only yesterday when I completed my target amount. After converting the money to cash this afternoon, I decided to go to Quiapo to get my new DSLR.

What flavor are you when you were a kid?
When I was a younger, my Grandma used to run a small sari-sari store beside our house in the province. Every afternoon, my bro and I would sneak in to grab some goodies from my Lola’s candy jars. Among my favorites are Tarzan, Big Boy, Bazooka, Mighty Mouse, and Tootsie Roll.

Eden Nature Park maybe is one of the best places to see when visiting Davao City. Eden Nature Park and Resort is situated at the foot of Mt. Talomo, roughly around 3000-ft above sea level. This mountain resort is famous for its cool climate, fresh food and green vegetation. The resort offers the best view [...]
Pan Grilled Blue Marlin

Fish meat for Lent. Last Wednesday, a friend from Davao came to Manila for a convention in Tarlac City. Since it’s been a while that I had fish, I asked him if he could bring some steak cuts of tuna or marlin. He brought a nifty amount of Blue Marlin. Yesterday, I invited my college classmate who’s working here in Manila to come over to my place. Told him I’ll prepare dinner. Our class use to do this when we were still in Cebu.
