A message to the Queen
I got alarmed by the sudden turn out of things. It was two months ago when I got here in Cebu. Like any blogger who runs a personal blog, all I want is to write about my personal experiences. Thus, I published my first week in Cebu experience. Going back two days ago, I didn’t realize that a lot of people got alarmed with what I wrote. Somebody must have dug my archives and found that post. It was then also that I realized that a lot of people are unhappy with what I wrote.
I’ve been to a lot of places before but this is my first to be away from home for more than two months. My initial reaction is to be shocked by the sudden change in environment and culture. There’s that thing we call “first impression“. It so happened that during my first week in Cebu, what I saw was the “infamous” side of the city and my impression about Cebu was tarnished with that image.
It was not my intention to spread a bad word about the city. Most of my time is spent with Cebuanos. I have no plans of getting my butt kicked while I’m with them. I also have lots of Cebuano friends and I have no intention of hurting their feelings.
Thus, I apologize to those who got offended by my writing. It is not my intention to offend you. I also apologize if my commentators and readers have offended you in their remarks.
I would also like to thank those people who gave their advise and tips about Cebu. I will apply those for the rest of my stay in this City.
Each of our beloved cities have their own beauty. The best way to share these is through experience. I’m more than happy to experience the beautiful things Cebu can offer.

Comparing Davao to Cebu maybe like comparing and apple and an orange. Both are fruits but each has its own good and bad sides.
For someone like you who’s fond of eating apples.. then it will be your first time to eat an orange.. you’ll surely miss the crunchiness of the apple. And you might hate the orange for having too many seeds or it may not be too sweet for you.
As i will advice you again, you should not have apologize.. because as you said in your post.. it was not your intention to make cebu a bad place. But you did and my hat’s off to you on this.
I came from manila.. and when i relocated here in davao.. it was like heaven on earth for me. But if it was the other wat around – came from davao and lived in manila.. for sure you’ll see a lot of negative posts about manila on my blog or in my stories.
What people say should be an eye opener and not a mouth opener.
So, after you blogged about those negative stuff in cebu, may nagbago ba? Ginawan na ba ng paraan?
Wala.

If that’s what you think of Cebu, then I accept it. After all, I can’t dictate what you should think about our dear province.
