Yagit is now an Engineer

The longest week of my life happened last week. It was Saturday and Sunday when we took our licensure examination for ECE at South Western University in Cebu. All of the things I studied in the past 5 years of my life were compressed into two days of four-subject examination. I can say that the exam is very unfair. I know I know a lot things but the examination does not cover it all. (darn those examiners)
Waiting for the result of the exam is even worse than taking the exam itself. As we near the release date, most of us are becoming anxious. Tension is starting to build up. Most of us are nervous. Everytime a cellphone rings, our hearts start to panic. The days after the board exam were hell for us.
(***insert annoyed icon here**** someone downstairs is selling pineapple and he pronounces pinya as pinnneeeeaaa)

I’ve seen them a couple of times in Ayala, few months ago, but I never paid much attention. But I know them. I have read about them on the papers they were giving to the passers by.

Da Vinci’s Pizza in Cebu

After the two consecutive days of taking the review center’s diagnostic examination, my clique decided to treat ourselves with a scrumptious meal. It was decided that we’ll have dinner at Sbarro in Ayala Center Cebu. But Starth, a non-pork eater classmate, was hesitant since most of the meat dishes in Sbarro contains pork. She recommended Da Vinci’s Pizza in Osmeña Boulevard (Jones Ave.) since she had tried dining in the resto before. Then it was decided where we’ll have our dinner.
The place is not strange to us anymore since we get to pass Jones every time we go to our review Center. The place is not far from the famous landmark, the Fuente Osmeña Circle. It is situated at the right side of the Crown Regency Tower, just beside Jollibee.

Davao International Airport Fee Increase

Bad news for those Air Travelers out there. Davao International Airport increased it’s Domestic Terminal Fee from 50.00 pesos to 200.00 pesos starting today, August 28. That’s a 500% increase.
This increase in terminal fee is a mandate by Department Order No. 2007-25 issued by the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC). The said increase takes effect in various airports all over the country.
I have been very proud before because DIA offers the cheapest Domestic Terminal Fee in the country. But now, at 200.00 pesos, it is charging the same rate as that of Ninoy International Airport.
According to Councilor Lavina, the 500% hike in airport fee is the result of the lack of airport revenue since its opening 2003.

Hmm does this mean that all airport terminals will charge 200? I was proud before that Iloilo’s airport charges only P30 but it’s facilities is similar to NAIA such as tube going to the airplane, aircon on the waiting room, xray scanners etc..
