Barbeque at Larsian’s

The first week in Cebu City was very difficult on my part. I’m not used of eating carenderia food. While I was in Davao, I was spoiled with my Lola’s home-cooked meals and food from Davao’s best restaurants. I was not prepared in the sudden change of my lifestyle.
Among those things I miss about Davao are the numerous Inasal restaurants found in the downtown area. Mang Inasal, Penongs, and Banoks among others. Last night, we were able to come across Cebu’s barbeque haven. We didn’t realize that such place lies a few blocks away from our building.
Larsian’s is a paradise for barbeque lovers. Located at the west side of Fuente - Osmeña circle, the place caters to a big number of barbeque shops. They have a good number of choices of barbeque-ables, from pork to danguit. The aromatic smoke of barbeque engulfed our nostrils upon entering the place.
For 58 pesos, I was able to enjoy my meal of grilled white marlin and pork barbeque. The food they sell are really affordable, a perfect match to my limited allowance. At least, I can now avoid getting a cash advance loan.

Nga pala, if I’m not mistaken, the origin of the inasal style of barbecue is Cebu…

@blogie: may naidudulot din ang paglalakad. hehehehe
@bugits: i’ve been to the mang inasal of robinsons in fuente. di ko nagustuhan. hehehe

I don’t see any difference between a carenderia meal and a home-cooked meal aside from where they were cooked on the perspective of the eater. The barbecue sounds delicious though and pretty affordable.

mukhang masarap dyan ah
hehehe..

Aside from Larcian, there are lot of “pungko-pungko” treats which Cebu is also famous for… if I’m not mistaken, you can find one near Redemptorist church and along JY Square in Lahug.

ui masarap jan.. haha ingat sa magnanakaw. ^^

Kung nahibaw ka kung asa ang Shakeys nganha sa Fuente Osmena, adunay gamayng agianan sa kilid ana that will lead you to what I call “my comfort zone.” Daghan pungko-pungko ngana, mas affordable kaysa sa larsian. For only 30php, busug na ka.

And btw, Larsian is in ‘S’ not in ‘C’

Hi Winston, from the looks of it you really don’t like Cebu! Well, too bad.
Anyway, Cebu boasts a lot of great restaurants too.. all you just got to do is explore. Yeah, that’s the word Explore. How about Dinner at Pier One this weekend? I’ll tell some of my blogger friends…

@Beejing: there’s always a room for adjustment right? hahaha.. this weekend? I can’t. tsk tsk tsk. I have several projects to finish. By the way, there will be a bloggers meet-up this June 29. I’ll post the details later. I’ll fix everything first before posting the details.
Please tell your blogger friends too.
thanks.

There’s Mang Inasal in Cebu, located at SM Cebu. To get there, you have to ride 14D to Ayala Center Cebu then go to jeepney bay and ride 03Q (going to SM).
[Reply]
@james: thanks man. i was able to try Mang Inasal in Robinsons.

I’ve been to Cebu as well and my first Impression was… mao diay ni ang Cebu? Well, I may say, there’s still no place like home like I have in Davao. There are funny situations as well, like when I say bulad for them it’s buwad, sa dyip naman if you would say… pakiaabot lang if ihatag na nimo imo pamasahe, lingi ang tanan. with them it should be pakitunol nya. I’m not used of hearing iskina, so one time I asked the son of my boss, unsay iskina? ate… sa atoa sa davao kanto, diri sa cebu iskina, aw! mao ba.. hehehehe. Amping lang sa holdaper diha kay wala baya sila pili, anytime of the day naa lang na sila sa daplin daplin. unlike davao… you know what i mean panatag ka maskin asa ka adto. Amping sad if naa ka sa sulod sa bangko diha sa cebu… paborito diay nila bisitahon nga bangko para kawatan mao ang eastwest bank…well that’s what I’ve observed during my stay there… 3 times gi bank robbery ang eastwet bank during my stay there and take note… same branch lang.
