My Acer Aspire 3680 Center Panel Hinge Cover finally arrived

I forgot to blog about this one. My Acer Aspire 3680’s center panel hinge cover that I ordered from eBay finally arrived last Friday. I’ve been waiting for the package to arrive. The package arrived earlier than we expected. A package from US usually takes around a month before it arrives in the country, but mine arrived two weeks earlier.

When I got home last Friday, my lola informed me that a package for me from US arrived. I immediately got excited knowing that it might be the package that I’ve been waiting, and it was (duh).

The product, which I ordered from an eBay store, is a replacement for the power button which I broke few months ago. It took me a lot of time before I was able to find a replacement for the damaged power button. Thanks to eBay for selling stuff like this.

I was so excited that I did not bother bringing my Acer Aspire 3680 unit to the service center. At first I was hesitant in opening my laptop since I have a little experience in fixing complicated electronic devices. But the blood of an engineer is more dominant than my practical sense. I took the courage to open my Naomi. Poor Naomi. I had her dissected and unscrewed. It took me quite sometime to figure out how to remove the center panel from the laptop but I was able to manage successfully.

Yey! I finally fixed my laptop’s power button. No more standby modes. No more “do-not-leave-your-laptop-unplugged” days.

I might post a tutorial on how to replace the Acer 3680 front panel on my Techykid.com blog.

Good news Honda Fans. Honda launches VCM 643, the latest model which features a great mix of power and economy.
