[photopress:DSC_2549.JPG,thumb,alignleft]After all the sleepless nights, the busy days, the tensions, and the crazy days, everything ended up last night. All of our efforts were blessed by the outcome of last night’s show. The 21st Awitenista turned out to be a success.

We were so glad that almost everything went fine. I’m so proud with my team that they were able to execute their functions successfully.

To the APS, thanks for helping the steering committee from the preliminaries up until last night. You were always responsible with the tasks assigned to you.

To Peke and my classmates, thanks for helping and supporting me with my endeavors. Peke, thanks for manning the live camera.

To Intet, Franie, Sharol and the rest of your staff, thanks for managing the stage, the performers and the rest of the participants.

To Macoy, the CoE girls, and the rest of the technical crew who designed the stage and prepared the equipments, you were so good with the technical preparations.  The stage design was great. The lights, sounds and other technicalities were also good.

To Venice and Andie, and the rest of the business committee, thanks for managing the event’s finances.  To our sponsors, our show won’t be that successful if not for you.

To Aia and Andie, thanks for assisting our judges in the tabulation and calculation of results.

To Jebo, Ahlee, Shaira, Ian, and Cris, thanks for the great job you made with our AVPs and other media presentations.

To Red and the rest of his lights crew, thanks for giving color to the show.

To our hosts, thanks thanks thanks. You made the show alive.

To Kalasag (The Steering Committee), thanks for leading the production staff.

To Sir Bong, thanks for the support.

To Sir Jerry of New Jersy Studio, thanks for helping us with the audio and video.

To Pre, thanks for the BIG BIG BIG help. Thanks for reminding me of the things I forget. Thanks for leading the rest of our staff. Thanks for everything.

To Kuya Bernard and Kuya A, thanks for the time and effort you spent in doing the animations.

To Sir Rikki, thanks for the support, the help, and for staying for the entire show.

To the rest of the APS, thanks thanks thanks.  It seems like I can’t find the right words to say to thank you guys.

To the students, the parents, the sponsors, the alumni, the former kalasagers, and the rest of the audience, thanks for sharing the night with us.

To the organizers of the other show, thanks for making Awitenista a challenge for us.

Apologies to those who I have hurt during the course of the production, may you understand that it’s part of our work and nothing personal.  To Andie, i am as disappointed as you are about your AVP.  I know how much effort you have exerted for that assignment.  It’s just that there are things which we can’t control during the show.

Why hasn’t any corrections been made yet about the song, ENDLESS FAITH? It is an injustice to Marlon Mestica that for 4 1/2 months, it is JR Barril’s name and photo on that page as the original composer. He is aware about the nature of Mr. Mestica’s song composed in 2004 and he has promised to make the corrections already. What must one do to get things done right in Ateneo de Davao?
