Mandaue Business Month Press Conference

I mentioned in an earlier post that I got invited by Mr. Wilson Ng to attend the Mandaue Business Month press conference. The invitation was also open to other 15 bloggers but only a few responded because of some conflicts in schedule. Among those who attended the press conference are Aileen (http://sunchoke.net), Wil (http://misswilhelmina.com), Paul (http://cebudirectories.com), Nick (http://in-indie.org), Arnold (http://cebuheritage.com), and Rio (http://ngkhai.net/blog).
Present during the press conference are the people from the business sector, the media, and Hon. Gwen Garcia, the governor of the province of Cebu. The purpose of that press conference is to formally launch the upcoming 17th Visayas Business Area Business Conference and the Mandaue Business Month.

The first week in Cebu City was very difficult on my part. I’m not used of eating carenderia food. While I was in Davao, I was spoiled with my Lola’s home-cooked meals and food from Davao’s best restaurants. I was not prepared in the sudden change of my lifestyle.
Among those things I miss about Davao are the numerous Inasal restaurants found in the downtown area. Mang Inasal, Penongs, and Banoks among others. Last night, we were able to come across Cebu’s barbeque haven. We didn’t realize that such place lies a few blocks away from our building.

Good day guys,
A couple of days ago, I made an entry (Jobless dilemma) with an in-line ad link. The entry was not a review of the advertiser, neither his site nor his products and services. (at some point, the entry’s topic is related to the advertiser’s ad).
But to my dismay, last night, when i checked the comments on that post…. I received a comment from someone. The person said “Maniniwala na sana ako kaso may sponsored links sa ibaba. Kaduda-duda na tuloy ang post nato.”. WhaattT?? Ok……zipped
Let this be a reminder to us all, (especially those who monetize our blogs), making money out of our blogs is not bad. In fact, it’s a good thing. But compromising our content for the sake of earning defeats the purpose of blogging. And placing an ad does not invalidate the message you are convey to your readers.
I would like to quote what Kuya Blogie said (a comment to that post): “having in-post ads doesn’t invalidate the post’s message. monetizing blogs is now an accepted activity”

There’s nothing wrong with monetizing your blog. I’ve read that post. It does not even read like an advertisement but more of a personal experience. It’s just similar to a footer ad. ^_^

it’s not like an ad.. 
I agree. I do it too in my blog. i know it’s too obvious for some bloggers but that’s part of our industry.
someday i hope to find a judgment that came from someone credible of it.
