Finally bought the new toy
I’ve been planning of getting a Digital SLR since last year. It was only a couple of months ago when I started saving some money for a new camera. I really wanted to get a mid-range camera. There are a lot of decent cameras available in the market today, yet, it was the Nikon’s mid-range DSLR, after consulting my friends who are into photography, who caught my attention. It was only yesterday when I completed my target amount. After converting the money to cash this afternoon, I decided to go to Quiapo to get my new DSLR. Meet my new toy, the Nikon D90. 
I bought this afternoon the Nikon D90 12.3MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only)
Here are some photos I took using the Nikon D90 and the 35mm f/1.8G lens: 
Another significant feature of Nikon D90 (and most Nikon DSLRs today) is its back-compatibility with older Nikon lenses. The photo below is a 28-80mm lens from the 1998 Nikon F60 SLR (film) kit. The old F60 kit lens still functions properly with the Nikon D90 including its Auto-focus functionality. 
I’m excited in taking more pictures. Expect that my photo blog will be updated more frequently in the coming days. Also, I’m starting to save money for my camera bag (I didn’t get my free camera bag 
), filter sets, zoom lens and other accessories.

hehehe. roughly around 60k, including 2 years official warranty. I didn’t get the kit lens. I bought one prime lens and some filters.

Both brands have its own pros and cons. I was also a canon user before.

i bought it from Quiapo po. Henry’s at Hidalgo to be specific. It’s a D90. body only but the whole thing comes with a prime lens at an extra cost. yes, cables were included.

Congrats dude for your new SLR camera, Great choice, camera nikon D90, its better you to start photography with D90 for middle level cameras, some studios here in davao use Nikon D70 like what i handle when im working in photo studio around san pedro area. Nikon D90 is also better than D70,, When i experienced D70 i said to myself better better what more for D90.. so winton please update about your photo shots with nikon D90..

I was once eager to buy a DSLR but I ended up having a Digicam. LOL. but for sure one of this days, I’ll find time saving my money and acquire my DSLR. :-]

Nikon D90… dba iyan yung mga video recording? pareho tau, gusto ko din bumili ng mid-range lens for my Canon 1000D. Ready your wallet with that new toy… napakaexpensive ng mga accessories nyan.. kaya ako konti lang accessories ng dslr ko.. T_T
