The 2009 Emerging Influential Blogs Awards Night
Thank you to all who supported and believed that Pinoy Lakwatsero and Patay Gutom deserves a spot in the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009.
Though Pinoy Lakwatsero only started in March 2009, it has gained positive response from the community. I am greatly honored for receiving such recognition despite the fact that my travel blog is still a neophyte within its niche.
I think Patay Gutom, which is supposedly Batang Yagit’s food blog, deserves the spot in this year’s Top 10. The Patay Gutom blog changed the impression that food blogs are only for those who can afford posh dining. It also gained popularity early this year after the issue of PGB’s came out.
For someone who’s into (online) community building, I’m happy to see that this year’s Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs is an example of how community and peers can work together to achieve one goal. It’s pretty interesting that this year’s finalists came from different blogging groups, niches and ages.
On a personal note, I would like to congratulate Kuya Jan Geronimo. I was surprised when he mentioned how Jehz became his inspiration in blogging. I look up to Kuya Jan’s humility despite the fact that his and Jehz’ blog rivals for the top spot.
