How to control the world from your computer?

Have you seen the movie “So Close”? If yes, then you might have heard the software application called “The World Panorama” wherein you can gain access to almost all satellite information and security cameras in the world.

Who says “The World Panorama” is just a fictional software application? You might not have realized it yet but Google is an example of “The World Panorama”.

Try searching Google with the keyword “intitle:liveapplet inurl:LvAppl”. This search keyword will list all the URLs of the online security cameras found by Google. These cameras, or security cameras, use the internet to communicate with its control. The camera’s control uses a Java Applet which is embeded within its internal web server. Since the cameras are connected to the internet, each are assigned with a specific IP Address which can be used to access each camera.

With Google’s help, we can gain access and control to these cameras. It’s a nifty way of seeing the World live from your own desktop. *wink* *wink*

@witness: nope… i think there’s nothing illegal about it. hehehe. :) but i’m not sure if there are laws (in other countries) which govern the legality of accessing publicly available information. (video cameras for this matter).
